On Saturday November 30th, Ohio State and Michigan played in “The Game” for the 120th time. Michigan upset the number 2 ranked Ohio State 13-10 in a all out brawl of a football game. This is the 4th year in a row Michigan beat Ohio State. Michigan was 21 point underdogs coming into the game and nobody expected them to win, even Michigan fans didn’t think they would win. But in rivalry games there is no underdogs it’s a completely different game than all the rest. Ohio State played Michigan game with ground and pounding the football. Ohio State had an ego going into this game where they had everything to lose, Michigan had nothing to lose and played the game they were most comfortable which led to them being in control and winning. With it being Ohio State’s 4th year in a row their head coach Ryan Day is on the hotseat, many Ohio State’s fans want Day gone even though he is the most winningiest coach outside their record against Michigan, that shows how much this game means. After the game Michigan tried to plant their flag and a big fight broke out because Ohio State was still angry about the loss. The police ended up getting involved and several players got pepper sprayed. This was a detrimental loss for Ohio State and could lead to some big changes for the future, for Michigan this was a huge win and sets the standard for the future.
