The senior of the month for November is Anna Kigar! Kigar is involved in NHS, Key Club, Marching Band, Concert Band, Pep band, Drama Club, and FCA. Kigar’s hobbies include reading, crocheting, practicing her flute, and hanging out with friends. Kigar loves her Honors English II class with Mrs. Sandwisch. She loves English because of the reading and writing they do and Kigar also said “I had a lot of fun improving my skills in that class. Mrs. Sandwisch is also one of my favorite teachers.” One of Kigar’s favorite memories from being at Woodmore was when the tire blew on the band bus while they were on the way to the state contest during her junior year. The band had to cram all the instruments on the two buses the rest of the way.
Like many of us, Kigar’s biggest influence has been her parents. “My mom always pushes me to do more and is someone I can rely on. My dad is also someone I rely on especially when I need good advice. I love them both!” We all get stressed and overwhelmed and we all have different ways of dealing with them. “Whenever I get stressed, I take a small break, maybe pray or read. If I’m still stressed, I usually talk to Scott (my brother/best friend). Then, I get back to whatever it is I need to do and take things one step at a time.”
After high school, Kigar plans on attending the University of Toledo, majoring in Education. She is not entirely sure what level of education yet, but most likely elementary or high school. Congratulations Anna Kigar on Senior of the Month!
