This year’s October student of the month has been awarded to sophomore Willow Lewis! Lewis is involved in soccer, track and field, NAHS, FCA, Student Council, Key Club, and Spanish Club. Lewis’s hobbies include reading, going for runs, and baking. Lewis enjoys her art class because she can express her creativity and it allows her to take a break from her school work. One of Lewis’s favorite memories so far was decorating the sophomore homecoming float this year and getting to ride in the float during the parade.
The stresses of school can be a lot for someone like Lewis who is involved in many extracurriculars and multiple sports. “I balance stress from school and sports by remembering to do the things I love and I know will make me happy. Like hanging out with friends, reading, and listening to music. Having something to look forward to. Going to a football game also gets me through my busy weeks.” Role models are somebody or multiple people we look up to and admire to become. For Lewis, it’s her parents. “They are both hard-working professionals who raised me to care about my academics. Both my mom and dad have pushed me to do well in school and sports. They are supportive of my goals and believe I will have a great future.”
Lewis said at this point in time she plans to go to college for either engineering or Architecture. Lewis’s goal is to go to The Ohio State University. Congratulations to Willow Lewis!
