The ALDS and NLDS series had ended in the 2024 baseball season and it was some of the most exciting baseball that we have gotten in a while. The series started off with a bang with the Cleavland Guardians pushing around the Tigers with a 7-0 win but the Tigers were not going to go down so easily and tied up the series with a 3-0 win. Then the Tigers took the lead with another 3-0 win. But the Guardians didn’t take this too kindly and won back to back with the last game of the series. Lane Thoms killed the Tiger momentum with a grand slam to help eliminate the Tigers.
The Phillies versus the Mets was just as entertaining with the Mets starting off strong with a 6-2 win. The Phillies answered back with a 7-6 win to tie up the series but the Mets fought for another win with a 7-2 win. The Mets kept their momentum and hit a game winning grand slam to eliminate the Phillies with a 4-1 win.
The Yankees vs Kansas City Royals was one of the more tame series but it was still close games. The first game the Yankees beat the Royals 6-5 but the royals didnt like a call the umpire made which allowed the Yankees to score the go ahead run, which sparked some controversy between the Royals and Yankees. The second game of the series the royals tied it up by beating the Yankees 4-2. The Yankees didn’t take that kindly and fought back with a 3-2 for the third game. The Yankees, staying hot from the last game, beat the royals with a 3-1 win to end the Royals season and move on in the playoffs.
The San Diego Padres vs the Dodgers was one of the heated series this year. The series started off tame with the Dodgers beating the Padres with a 5-7 win. But the Padres answered back with a 10-2 win. This made the Dodgers fans mad and they started chirping at the Padres players. When the Padres players responded to the chirping, the fans got even more mad and started throwing items on the field which caused a 9 minute game delay. The Padres using this as motivation beat the Dodgers again with a 6-5 win pushing them closer to moving on. But the Dodgers did not let that happen and won back to back games not letting up a single run and scoring a combined 10 runs in the combined games. Moving the Dodgers into the next round of playoffs.
