Arizona Cardinals
2023-2024 Record- 4-13
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
Last year Arizona had a very underwhelming season because their starting quarterback Kyler Murray went down with a season ending injury in 2022 which forced him to miss over half the season last year only playing in the final 8 games. Rookie head coach Jonathan Gannon never fully got a chance to prove what this team is capable of and this year is their chance with former number 1 overall draft pick Kyler Murray healthy and adding superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in the draft.
Atlanta Falcons
2023-2024 Record- 7-10
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 10-7
After the abysmal job rookie head coach Arthur Smith did last year he was fired and the Atlanta Falcons decided to go a new route in head coach signing Raheem Morris. Atlanta had a very controversial offseason with signing Kirk Cousins to a 4 year 150 Million dollar deal in the offseason and instead of giving him a weapon in the first round of the draft they drafted Heisman finalist 24 year old quarterback Michael Penix Jr. with a top 10 pick. A lot of people’s heads turned, including mine when they drafted Penix Jr. after signing Kirk Cousins to a massive contract. Hopefully, Penix can bring that big Penix energy to the locker room because he won’t be getting any playing time barring any injuries.
Baltimore Ravens
2023-2024 Record- 13-4
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 13-4
The Baltimore Ravens earned themselves the Number 1 seed last year in the playoffs and lost to the Super Bowl winning Kansas City Chiefs last year in the AFC Championship. They have a very similar team from last year so they will have a similar season as last year and be Super Bowl contenders.
Buffalo Bills
2023-2024 Record- 11-6
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 12-5
In the past few years the Bills have been one of the top contenders in the AFC and they’ve made the playoffs every year since 2018 but they can’t get over the hump and make it to the Super Bowl. Last year they fired their former offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and signed Joe Brady to fill his role. This year Brady has a full season to show what him and superstar quarterback Josh Allen can do without Stefon Diggs, the drama queen. They lost a lot of veteran talent in the offseason but it shouldn’t be an issue for buffalo they have historically had a good defense. If they can beat the Chiefs in the playoffs, they should be playing in the Super Bowl.
Carolina Panthers
2023-2024 Record- 2-15
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 4-13
The Carolina Panthers were the worst team in the league last year and they didn’t even have their first round pick. They traded it to the Chicago Bears the year prior to trade up for quarterback Bryce Young who was underwhelming and that’s an understatement. In his defense, it wasn’t a very talented team last year and they fired their head coach in the middle of the season. They added some talent in the offseason by giving Young a new wide receiver one in Diontae Johnson but the team is still rebuilding and lackluster so, it’s looking like another poor season from the Panthers.
Cincinnati Bengals
2023-2024 Record- 9-8
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 11-6
The Bengals season got thrown a curveball when superstar quarterback Joe Burrow got a season ending injury in week 11 against division rival the Baltimore Ravens. The Bengals have been in super contention when Joe Burrow has been healthy but that has been an issue because this isn’t the first time he’s gone down with a season ending injury. His rookie year he tore his meniscus in week 11 and was out the whole year. When Burrow has been healthy they’ve proven to be contenders and even made the Super Bowl 2 years ago.
Cleveland Browns
2023-2024 Record- 11-6
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
The Browns had a very interesting year when starting quarterback Deshaun Watson got injured 3 separate times and in week 10 he went down for the season. When Watson went down for the season, they signed Ravens legend Joe Flacco off the couch and he played spectacularly and they ended up making the playoffs. Watson could be someone to watch because he got very banged up last year and he wasn’t playing like the 230 million dollars he was paid. He doesn’t have to play spectacularly behind arguably the best defense in the league and Nick Chubb at running back if he can stay healthy. They play in the hardest division in the league so they will have to win their division games if they want a shot at the playoffs.
Chicago Bears
2023-2024 Record- 7-10
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
After another losing season, the Bears traded away former first round pick Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That left a hole at the quarterback position and they definitely filled it with drafting star quarterback Caleb Williams out of USC who is already getting comparisons to Patrick Mahomes. They didn’t stop there either; they drafted wide receiver Rome Odunze out of Washington with pick number 9. Williams got put in the best position to succeed which the Bears failed to do with fields. Out of having an amazing draft they had a very good offseason signing veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen who is arguably the most underrated wide receiver in the last 10 years and running back D’andre Swift. This is a talented roster but it’s young and the Bears took a massive step in the right direction this offseason.
Dallas Cowboys
2023-2024 Record- 12-5
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 11-6
The Cowboys have historically been a very good regular season team but does that matter if they haven’t made it past the divisional round since 1995. In their last 5 playoff berths, they’ve only made it past the wild card once. The Cowboys need to get over the hump. They’ve had good teams but not great teams and that’s what’s separated them from teams like the Chiefs or the 49ers in recent years.
Denver Broncos
2023-2024 Record- 8-9
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 4-13
On September 1st of 2022 the Broncos signed veteran quarterback Russell Wilson to a 5 year 245 million dollar contract which ended up being a humongous catastrophe because he was cut earlier this offseason. The Broncos had a big hole at quarterback going into the draft and they filled that hole with the 12th pick by drafting Bo Nix. He started the most collegiate games in history with 61. In theory he should be the most NFL ready quarterback in the draft because he is the oldest and he’s started the most college games. He could be good in the NFL but the team around him right now needs help and this team will not be very good even if he has a good rookie year.
Detroit Lions
2023-2024 Record- 12-5
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 13-4
The Lions lost in the NFC championship game 34-31 last year to the 49ers. The Lions have been terrible for many and many years. Last year was the first year in a long time they had some success and made a run in the playoffs. They look to recreate that success this upcoming year and they very much can with a similar roster from last year and an easier schedule.
Green Bay Packers
2023-2024 Record- 9-8
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 11-6
The Packers snuck into the playoffs last year with a 9-8 record and shocked the world, upsetting the Cowboys in the wildcard round 48-32. The Packers have the youngest team in the league and if this team can develop they will be true contenders while Jordan Love solidifies himself as a top 10 quarterback in the league. They play in a rather tough division but this team is a true underdog this year and they can have a historic season shocking the world and making it to the Super Bowl.
Indianapolis Colts
2023-2024 Record- 9-8
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 11-6
The Colts were very close to making the playoffs last year. It came down to a week 18 game against the Texans which they ended up losing. They’re season dramatically changed when number 4 overall draft pick Anthony Richardson had to get a season ending surgery on his shoulder after getting hurt in week 5 causing him to miss the last 12 games.This team is very young in a young and upcoming division and with an easy schedule this team has potential to come on top in the AFC South.
Kansas City Chiefs
2023-2024 Record- 11-6
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 13-4
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have dominated football recently it seems like they’re in the superbowl every year. They’ve been to 4 Super Bowls in the last 5 years winning 3 of them including the last 2 years. The roster has changed though. They have a lackluster wide receiver core. The wide receivers they do have, have gotten in trouble off the field several times. When you have Patrick Mahomes on your team anything is possible and they look to be the first team to 3 peat in the Super Bowl era.
Los Angeles Chargers
2023-2024 Record- 5-12
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
The LA Chargers were very bad last year compared to the talent of their roster. They fired their head coach Brandon Staley and hired 2023 national championship winning Jim Harbaugh. They have a very talented roster but they’ve been underwhelming in recent years which makes them very unpredictable. They play in a very competitive division especially with the Chiefs winning it every year. Harbaugh brings a winning mentality to the Chargers from Michigan so this team could surprise a lot of people.
Houston Texans
2023-2024 Record- 10-7
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 10-7
The Texans exploded onto the scene last year by making the playoffs and winning their division. C.J Stroud had arguably the best rookie season we’ve ever seen from a quarterback and won Offensive Rookie of the Year and to make matters better Will Anderson Jr. won Defensive Rookie of the Year. The Texans are very young in a very competitive division and have lots of potential and added star wide receiver Stefon Diggs in the offseason. The sky’s the limit for this team and they could be a dark horse for the Super Bowl.
Los Angeles Rams
2023-2024 Record- 10-7
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 10-7
The Rams are a very solid team and had a very solid season last year but arguably the best defensive player of all time Aaron Donald retired over the offseason. They have a good team and people wonder how much gas Matthew Stafford has left in the tank but he’s still a very good quarterback and they look to make it back to the Super Bowl.
Jacksonville Jaguars
2023-2024 Record- 9-9
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
The Jaguars have been decent but they have not developed and progressed like some of the teams in their division and are being left in the dust. They have a star quarterback in Trevor Lawerence who they gave a max contract to over the summer. They added some weapons and have talent but can they compete with other teams in their division?
Miami Dolphins
2023-2024 Record- 11-6
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
The Dolphins have the most explosive offense in the league with Hill and Waddle at wide receiver, and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa who got a max contract over the offseason. Their offseason can hang with anybody but their defense is another story. The Dolphins struggled against teams last year who were above .500 and they have a hard schedule so they can take a surprising fall off this year and miss the playoffs. If they can beat good teams consistently then they will be a good team.
Minnesota Vikings
2023-2024 Record- 7-10
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 4-13
The Vikings lost Kirk Cousins in the offseason so they drafted national champion winning quarterback J.J McCarthy out of Michigan in the first round. He did not have a good training camp and unfortunately tore his ACL and was ruled out for the entire year. He’s not the only one to get injured. T.J Hockenson will be out until at least week 6 and Jordan Addison is also banged up. This is going to be a rebuilding year for the Vikings.
New England Patriots
2023-2024 Record- 4-13
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 4-13
Legendary head coach Bill Belicheck stepped down from being the Patriots head coach. They hired former player of the Patriots Jerod Mayo to be Belichick’s successor which obviously comes with super high expectations but they can’t be fulfilled in one year. They drafted quarterback Drake Maye out of UNC with the number 2 overall pick but they came out and named veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett the starter for week 1. There’s a reason this team had the second overall pick in the draft and they didn’t solve those problems.
New Orleans Saints
2023-2024 Record- 9-8
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 8-9
The Saints have been on the cusp of playoff contention for the past few years but could never get over the hump despite playing in the worst division in football. They haven’t made any significant changes to their roster so they will probably fight for a division win but probably won’t make a run.
New York Giants
2023-2024 Record- 6-11
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 2-15
The Giants had one good year 2 years ago when they made it to the divisional round on the back of Saquan Barkley. After that season they gave quarterback Daniel Jones a 4 year 160 million dollar deal. He is now a consensus bottom 5 quarterback in the league. It hasn’t been totally his fault they have not built a great team around him and this will be another long season for the Giants.
New York Jets
2023-2024 Record- 7-10
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
Tragedy struck last season when veteran superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers tore his achilles on the 4th snap of the season. So they had an underwhelming season with Zach Wilson as their quarterback. They have a good roster but Aaron Rodgers is 40 and coming off a torn achilles. This team is very unpredictable for that reason, this team could go under .500 or make a run in the playoffs.
Las Vegas Raiders
2023-2024 Record- 8-9
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 7-10
The Raiders have superstar players like Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby who are arguably the best at the positions but they have struggled to build a roster around them. They also have notoriously been bad drafters. They’ve struggled to get a star player in the draft. They’re in a rebuilding stage in their franchise but have just enough talent to not get a top draft pick.
Philadelphia Eagles
2023-2024 Record- 11-6
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 12-5
The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl 2 years ago and got their heart broken by Patrick Mahomes and company. But after that season they lost both of their coordinators and last year it showed by getting beat badly in the wildcard round. This season will be better for Philly, they got superstar running back Saquon Barkley and now they might have the best running game in the league.
San Francisco 49ers
2023-2024 Record- 12-5
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 12-5
The 49ers made it to the big game last year and got devastated by the Chiefs losing 25-22. The 49ers have the best roster in the league talent wise and have no excuse to not go back to the Super Bowl. There was some drama in the offseason with Brandon Aiyuk revolving around contract extension, but they ended up locking him down for the next 4 years worth around 120 million.
Seattle Seahawks
2023-2024 Record- 9-8
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 8-9
The Seahawks have been one of the more underrated teams recently but they haven’t gotten over the hump to be successful. They need to exit out of mediocrity and either rebuild or retool the roster to be successful. They had their glory days with the Legion of Boom and Beast Mode but they haven’t found their identity after that ended. Longtime head coach Pete Carrol retired in the offseason so hopefully rookie head coach Mike Macdonald can help them find their footing.
Pittsburgh Steelers
2023-2024 Record- 10-7
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 9-8
The Steelers have had quarterback troubles ever since Big Ben retired and they thought Kenny Pickett was the guy when they drafted him in the first round a few years ago but they moved on from him in the offseason by acquiring veteran Russel Wilson and unproven Justin Fields. There has been a quarterback battle offseason but coming out of camp Wilson has won the starting job because he is a veteran and they think it will benefit Fields to sit and learn behind him. The rest of the roster is decent and Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season so it’s hard to bet against him even in the best division in football.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2023-2024 Record- 9-8
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 10-7
Tampa Bay has had some trouble finding the success they had from when TB12 was there. They have a guy in Baker Mayfield who was a star in college, arguably the best college quarterback of all time and went number 1 overall to the Browns. Things didn’t end up working out and he bounced around a few teams before calling Tampa home. He had a good season last year and earned himself a 3 year 100 million dollar contract. They have a talented veteran roster, they play in the worst division in football so they should make the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans
2023-2024 Record- 6-11
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 4-13
The Titans over the last decade have been carried by running back Derrick Henry figuratively and literally. They lost him this offseason and they are now in a rebuilding period. They have question marks all over the field, especially at quarterback Will Levis. They have some veteran talent but not enough to win them a lot of games especially in the AFC South. They hope to get a high draft pick to either replace Will Levis or to surround him with some talent.
Washington Commanders
2023-2024 Record- 4-13
2024-2025 Record Prediction- 6-11
Washington hopefully solved their quarterback issues with drafting Heisman winner Jayden Daniels at number 2 in the draft. The Commanders have struggled to find a franchise quarterback since Joe Theisman and that was 50 years ago. Hopefully Daniels is the guy and he is young and promising but their roster isn’t up to par and with juggernauts like the Cowboys and Eagles in their division it’s hard to find success.
