As Thanksgiving approaches, the staff of Window 2 Woodmore wants to share their favorites from the holiday. Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and gathering together with loved ones. Families and friends bond over food, memories, football, and more.
Thanksgiving is probably known mostly for the amount of delicious food. The staff was asked what their favorite food was to eat at Thanksgiving, and here is what they said:
Mr. Fannin- mashed potatoes with corn and gravy, and green bean casserole
Margaret- butternut squash
Savannah- stuffing
Will- stuffing and green bean casserole
Jack- jellied cranberry
Isabelle- mashed potatoes and gravy
Izaiah- stuffing
Maceon- cheesy bread
Then they were asked about family traditions. Mr. Fannin’s family has a toast every year before dinner, while Isabelle and Margaret’s family watches the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, and Margaret listens to Christmas music. Will said, “eating” is his tradition and many said they watch football. A lot of the staff goes to see relatives and spend quality time with their families.
There is no doubt that the food and football are most people’s favorite part about Thanksgiving. But there is always something that some wish they could change. For Isabelle, she wishes people would slow their roll on preparing for Christmas so early. Will and Jack want Thanksgiving to be longer, more of a two-day event. Mr. Fannin thinks everyone should get the day off, instead of having to work. Margaret wishes that the NBA played on Thanksgiving, as that is her favorite sport. Izaiah just wants the food to be ready faster, and Savannah says she wants the turkey to be chicken. As for the NFL, Maceon wants different teams to play.
The Window 2 Woodmore staff is wishing all of you a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
