This week’s Dinosaur of the Week is the Pachycephalosaurus! This dino is more formally known as a genus of pachycephalosaurid ornithischian dinosaur, which is quite a long and confusing name so we’ll keep it short with Pachycephalosaurus. The dino was about 5-6 feet tall, and 15-23 in length from head to tail, also weighed around 1000 pounds! Pachycephalosaurus’ lived about 72 million years ago and were herbivores that ate seeds, fruits, and leaves. An interesting attribute that this dinosaur has is its thick bony dome on its head surrounded by spikes and bumps. Scientists believe that they used to butt heads in competition similar to modern day rams using their horns. Make sure to check in for the next Dinosaur of The Week!
