The young Wildcat varsity golf team has a tougher schedule this season. Currently leading the team is Sophomore Brandon Kayser who so far has a total of 308 team points scored. The varsity team consists of Junior Kaiden Orcelletto, Junior Jack Morris, Junior Brock Perry, Sophomore Brandon Kayser, Sophomore Kevin Wallace, Sophomore Jacob Youngless, and Freshman Mason Busdecker. Coaching the Varsity team is Mr. Steve Burner. The teams best tournament so far has been the SBC tournament where as a team they shot 376. The best individual score was Mason Busdecker who shot 85 in tournament play.
The Wildcats placed ninth in the league as a team. The lead golfer was Sophomore Brandon Kayser who placed 26th in the league which should earn him Honorable Mention All League. After him Freshman Mason Busdecker placed 33rd, Sophomore Kevin Wallace placed 37th, Junior Kaiden Orcelletto 43rd, Junior Jack Morris placed 56th, and Junior Brock Perry placed 62nd. Varsity Coach Steve Burner said, “We didn’t win any special awards at any tournaments as far as individual or team. It’s a young team that seems to be getting better with each tournament. Looking forward to next season with everyone coming back next year.”
