Woodmore High School’s September Senior of the Month is the lovely Grace Draeger! It is no surprise that Grace was the first to be awarded and recognized for her academic excellence and extracurricular activities. Grace is Senior Class President, plays volleyball, is President of FFA, NHS, and Student Council. She is Vice President of Key Club, and Band, and is also involved in FTA, Flag Corp, Ballet, Yearbook, and 4H. This is obviously an extremely packed schedule to juggle and, “It can be very stressful sometimes, but my biggest focus is completing my schoolwork during study halls so I don’t have to worry about it after school; that’s when sports and extracurriculars take over. Honestly, if it weren’t for the calendar on my phone, I’d probably forget half of my tasks.” Grace takes school and her activities very seriously, and it shows in everything she does. Out of all these activities, Yearbook is Grace’s favorite because, “it sparked my interest in graphic design and puts me in a situation where I get to communicate with the entire student body.” Next year, Grace is hoping to attend Ohio State University for visual design. When asked what she will miss most about Woodmore, Grace replied, “The teachers; they’ve all been amazing and helped shape me into the person I am today.” When asked what she would say to the upcoming classes at Woodmore, Grace said, “Live every day to the fullest because high school goes by incredibly fast. Also, maintain your friendships. I can’t imagine where I’d be in life if it weren’t for mine.” Grace Draeger has worked extremely hard in and out of school to maintain good grades, club spots, a varsity letter, Senior Class President, and an established and graceful ballet dancer. Congratulations on your well deserved recognition in achieving September Senior of the Month!
