The 2025 Woodmore Baseball team has had a busy schedule the last two weeks playing a game almost every day for the last two weeks. They have made it halfway through the season and are fighting for their first SBC River Division league title.
On April 9th, the Wildcats traveled to St.Mary CC looking for another win in the league, starting Trace Murphy, who threw for four innings, letting in four runs. Calvin Lipstraw was in relief, not letting St.Mary CC score any more runs. In the seventh inning, the game was tied 4-4, so the game went into extra innings. Robert Seeger had a 2 rbi hit in the top of the eighth inning to put the Wildcats ahead, and Calvin got the final three outs to give Woodmore the win.
On April tenth, The Wildcats were hosting Margarita but the game was played at sport force. The Wildcats did not play well that day and lost the game 16-0.
On April 11th, the Wildcats traveled to Tiffin Calvert. Michel Seeger was starting on the mound, letting up 5 runs in 5 innings, then Keil Almroth was in relief, letting up 3 runs in two innings. The Wildcats scored 4 runs in seven innings, making the final score 4-8 with another loss.
April 12th was a home game for the Wildcats against Cardinal Stritch. Parker Hahn was the starting pitcher, only letting up 3 runs in three innings, with Blane Overmyer letting up 2 runs in 2 innings. The Wildcats scored 16 runs in five innings, resulting in a run-rule win against Cardinal Stritch.
On April 14th, the Wildcats were home again in a league game against Danbury. West Kayser was starting pitching and let up 0 runs in relief, was Blane Overmyer who also let up 0 runs. The wildcats scored 10 runs in the first two innings, then got held down to only scoring 10, making the final score 10-0 with another league win.
April 15th, the Wildcats traveled to Lakota with Trace Murphy starting on the mound, letting up 6 runs in four innings with Calvin Lipstraw in relief, letting up 3 runs in three innings. The Wildcats answered back and scored 11 runs on Lakota making the final score 11-9 with another league game win.
On April 16th, the Wildcats were at home again against Gibsonburg with Keil Armroth starting on the mound, letting up 6 runs in three innings, with Michael Seeger in real life letting up 4 more runs throughout the rest of the game. The Wildcats did not score any runs, making the final score 0-10 with a rough league loss.
On April 17th, the Wildcats were home again against Port Clinton, with Parker Hahn starting, pitching only letting up 3 runs in five innings. The Wildcats’ offense was hot that day, and the highlight was Cole Potrage hitting a three-run home run. The final score of the game was 19-3, giving the Wildcats a great bounce-back game. Their record for the season is 9-4, and they are looking to get more wins in the second half of the season.
