With the 2025 high school baseball season right around the corner, there were some coaching changes to the Woodmore baseball program. Coach Huss was the previous varsity head coach of the Woodmore baseball team. He stepped down from the role of head coach to let his assistant coach, Coach Beachler become head coach. But that’s not the only major change to the coaching staff. The old junior varsity coach, Coach Mendoza also stepped down from the coaching spot and Coach Wolford filled that position. The new varsity assistant coaches are Coach Good and Coach Lane.
Coach Beachler was the previous assistant coach for Woodmore and had been coaching for six years before Coach Huss stepped down and Coach Beachler stepped into the spot of head coach. Coach Good, the new assistant coach for Woodmore Baseball has been coaching for around 30 years and uses his extended coaching experience to bring new ideas and skills the players and coaches need to work on. Coach Lane is Coach Good’s son and he is the pitching coach helping the players to improve their fastball velocity and their offspeed movement. The JV coach, Coach Wolford has been coaching for one year and is eager to prove himself as a winning coach and develop the underclassmen to be the best players they can be.
The new Woodmore coaches have their minds set on winning and have made a lot of changes to the baseball program. There was team lifting during the off-season and open gym to keep the players who didn’t play a winter sport in shape. They give the player new connections to college to improve their chances of playing baseball at the next level. They are also planning on upgrading the baseball field in the next couple of years. The first thing that they are going to fixing the bullpens because they are the worst thing on the field. They are also planning on getting new dugouts, a new windscreen, new netting for the backstop, and black fencing. The new coaching staff will make great improvements to Woodmore baseball and are looking to win it all.
