Sean Strickland is the #2 ranked middleweight with a record of 29-7. Sean was the previous UFC middleweight champion in 2023 – 2024. Sean lost the title to Dricus on January 20, 2024.
Many people believe that Sean will never get another title shot due to #3 in the Middleweight division Khamzat Chimaev getting the next shot at the belt. Also, Sean is getting old and his skill is going down so it is very unlikely he will ever see gold again.

Dricus has also submitted 11 of his opponents and has been submitted once.
Although the fight has not been scheduled yet. It is very likely that Khamzat will get the next title shot against Dricus in the next couple of months. Many believe that Khamzat will out-grapple Dricus and completely maul him on the ground. While some other people think Khamzat will not be able to defend Dricus’s weird and unpredictable fighting style.
