Winter Royalty is one of the most exciting times of the year, bringing students together for a week full of fun, school spirit, and celebrations. This year, the basketball game will take place on Thursday, February 13, and the dance will be held on Sunday, February 16. Unlike previous years, this dance will be a formal event, making it extra special!
Leading up to the big game and dance, we’ll be celebrating Spirit Week with themed dress-up days. On Monday, wear your coziest pajamas for Pajama Day. Tuesday is Twin Day, so grab a friend (or a group) and dress alike. On Wednesday, show your team pride by wearing your favorite sports jersey or a Woodmore jersey for Jersey Day. Thursday is all about school spirit, wear your Winter Royalty shirt to support the event. Finally, we’ll end the week with Pink Out Friday, where everyone is encouraged to wear as much pink as possible!
One of the most exciting parts of Winter Royalty is voting for the Winter Royalty Court. Each grade selects one boy and one girl to represent them. This year’s court includes Graham Knepper and Payton Whitcum for the Freshman class, Cole Potridge and Maddalyn Sceptock for the Sophomores, Landon Rich and Lyndee Wagner for the Juniors. The Senior class has three pairs, Harry LaMunyon and Ellison Dickman, Karter Walper and Kylie Herrig, and Maceon Clark and Liv Lang. The students will get to vote for Winter Royalty King and Queen, who will be crowned at the basketball game on Thursday, February 13. This is a big moment, and the entire school is excited to see who will take the crown!
Winter Royalty is a time to show school spirit, have fun with friends, and create unforgettable memories. Get ready for a fantastic week filled with excitement, let’s make this the best Winter Royalty yet!
