Happy New Year everyone! This year is 2025, and there are big events coming up this year around the world. Some main events that took place in 2024 include, the first female president in Mexico, it was a leap year, the Solar Eclipse occurred, and the U.S. presidential election. Some main events to look forward to, happening in 2025 include, the world experiencing Summit, Future of Everything Festival in NYC, and C2 Montreal. A fun fact about the year 2025 is that it is a perfect square year! I asked some students from Woodmore High School, “What is the best thing that happened to you in 2024 and what are you looking most forward to in 2025?”
Freshman, Kiniah Ransom responded with, “My favorite thing about 2024 was the memes, and I’m looking forward to being a better student in 2025.”
Sophomore, Mylie Grove said, “I just recently got my drivers license in 2024, and I’m looking forward to going on vacation with my family in Michigan in 2025!”
Junior, Kelsey Kaylor, “My favorite part of 2024 was being cleared from my knee surgery, and I’m looking most forward to the summer and hanging out with friends in 2025.”
Senior, Alivia Smith states, “My favorite part of 2024 was getting accepted into The Ohio State University, and I’m really looking forward to attending The Ohio State University in 2025!”
These four young ladies seem to have had wonderful experiences in 2024 and are ecstatic to enter the new year! I hope everyone embraces this year and accomplishes everything they set out to do!
