On December 10th the boy’s basketball team played their first league game at home against the Lakota Raiders. They lost 49-31, decreasing their record to 1-2 on the season. Brady Thatcher was the Wildcats leading scorer with 14 points and Carson Slates followed that up with 10 points. It was a rough start to the game by Brady Thatcher hitting his first shot of the game, then they didn’t score the rest of the first quarter ending the quarter with 3 points. The Wildcats look to bounce back on Friday the 13th against New Reigel.
The varsity game wasn’t the only game played that day, the JV team won 35-23 increasing their record to 2-1. Their leading scorer was Ryan Maynard with 12 points. This was a good team win for the JV team. At the end of the second quarter Bradley Fetzer hit a magnificent buzzer beater.
