To start my experiment I predicted that Fortnite was the most popular game of the year. Fortnite is a 3rd person shooting game where you fight the enemy with fake weapons and can build structures into the sky to get a better advantage point. I went around asking students which video game they liked the most right now and I did this experiment in a whole day. I went around and asked kids who I knew liked sports games and I asked kids who I knew liked old-style video games. When I asked kids what was their favorite game, it took them a few seconds to answer because it is such a hard choice nowadays with how many video games there are. However, there was one game that stood out among all Woodmore Students.

- Brawlstars: 8%
- College Football 25: 20%

My prediction of the most popular game was correct. Most students like the game Fortnite more than any other video game in 2024. I interviewed sophomore, Gavin Donley. I asked Donley,“Why does he like Fortnite the most in 2024?” Donley responded by stating,“I like it because the OG weapons came back and the OG map and I also like playing it with friends.”Donley is one of multiple kids who voted Fortnite as their favorite game and all of those kids said the exact thing as Donley as why they like the game.
So there you have it, Fortnite is the most popular game among Woodmore Students in 2024. I can’t wait to see how these results vary next year.
