Woodmore High School offers a variety of electives, some in particular are a part of the VCT programs and those are Multi-Media, Yearbook, Journalism, and Photography. Each contributes to our school and helps share information throughout our small community. Multi-Media creates local news videos that are posted on YouTube every two weeks. They record interviews on sports, teachers, and students. They edit each video and add neat sound effects, backdrops, and background music. Each video is around 15-25 minutes, which is a good time frame to keep students engaged and attentive to the news. The yearbook staff works on the school yearbook all year. They get pictures of all student-athletes, dress-up days, and pep rallies, and add them to the book. They want everyone to have pictures in the yearbook so everyone is included. Once they finish, they sell them to students at the end of the year. Journalism class is students writing articles about our school and communities. The staff tries to cover all important topics around the school and make sure to tell people’s stories. They also cover current events happening in our world and our small towns. They try their best to make articles exciting and fun to read. Lastly, is Photography. Photography students go to sporting events, pep rallies, and school dances to capture real life moments. They go around with cameras trying to take photos of everyone and then edit them.
All VCT programs work together and help each other out. For example, Photography helps Multi-Media, Yearbook, and Journalism get photos for the news, yearbook, and articles. They all contribute to each other in many different ways, they couldn’t succeed without one another.

Mylie, this is a great article about the importance of Visual Communication Technology classes and how they’re so intertwined with each other. Surviving not only as individual classes but as a whole VCT program. Great work!
