The Woodmore Varsity Volleyball team has started their season out with a 3-6 record and are ranked 7th in the SBC River Conference. The team has had a rocky first half of the season but players are optimistic about the second half.
Olivia Donley is a Senior on the Woodmore Varsity Volleyball team and she quoted, “ I hope our mentality gets better as we go on. We need to go into each game with energy and be ready to play. A personal goal I have is to not give up on myself”.
Olivia believes the team hasn’t been playing to the best of their abilities because of their mentality, but is cheerful that they will turn it around.
Junior Emma Watson stated, “I’m hoping to be more confident and even if we’re losing, to not give up and keep the energy”. Junior Ariana Floria said, “I hope we start to believe in ourselves and want to win and continue our season in a positive way”.
It’s wonderful to see that the girls have a lot of positivity about their season moving forward and are aware of what they need to do to succeed. They have three games this week; Monday September 9th @ Tiffin Calvert, Tuesday September 10th vs Danbury, and Thursday September 12th vs Gibsonburg.
Good luck Wildcats!
